STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve
AN ACT relative to proclaiming Blue Star Mother’s Day.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Observances Proclaimed by Governor; Blue Star Mother’s Day. Amend RSA 4 by inserting after section 13-q the following new section:
4:13-r Blue Star Mother’s Day. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation calling for a proper observance of the first Sunday after Mother’s Day which shall be known as Blue Star Mother’s Day recognizing and honoring all mothers who now have, or have had, children honorably serving in the United States Armed Forces. The governor shall urge the citizens of this state to observe this day with appropriate events.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
