STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen

AN ACT relative to teacher evaluation systems.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; School Boards; Duty to Provide Education. Amend RSA 189:1-a by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:

III. The school board is responsible for the development, adoption, implementation, and monitoring of a teacher evaluation system. The school board may consult with school administrators and teachers in the development of a teacher evaluation system. In this paragraph, “teacher” shall have the same meaning as provided in RSA 189:14-a, V.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
