AN ACT requiring certain health care organizations to report to the department of health and human services regarding implementation of New Hampshire’s 10-year mental health plan.

ANALYSIS

This bill requires the vendors contracting with the department of health and human services for the Medicaid managed care plan to make quarterly reports to the commissioner of health and human services regarding their efforts to implement New Hampshire’s 10-year mental health plan of 2008. Under this bill, the commissioner shall make an annual report summarizing the vendors’ reports to the oversight committee on health and human services.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen

AN ACT requiring certain health care organizations to report to the department of health and human services regarding implementation of New Hampshire’s 10-year mental health plan.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

41:1 New Subparagraph; Reports Required. Amend RSA 126-A:5, XIX by inserting after subparagraph (c) the following new subparagraph:

(d) The vendors contracting with the department to carry out the Medicaid managed care program pursuant to this paragraph shall make quarterly reports to the commissioner regarding their efforts to implement New Hampshire’s 10-year mental health plan issued in 2008. Such reports shall commence on November 1, 2013. The commissioner shall make an annual report summarizing the information in the vendors’ reports to the oversight committee on health and human services, established in RSA 126-A:13, commencing on November 1, 2014.

41:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
