STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen
AN ACT allowing companion dogs in the outdoor areas of restaurants.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Restaurant Owners; Companion Dogs. Amend RSA 466:44 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:
III. A restaurant owner may allow properly disciplined companion dogs of restaurant patrons onto any outdoor patio areas owned by the restaurant. Such dogs shall not be allowed in food preparation or production areas. Such dog shall be removed from any portion of the premises where members of the public are present in the event a patron with a service animal is present.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
