STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Thirteen
AN ACT repealing the prohibition on a state-based health exchange.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Prohibition on State-Based Health Exchange Deleted. Amend the section heading of RSA 420-N:7 to read as follows:
420-N:7 [Prohibition on] State-Based Health Exchange; Guidelines [for Interaction With Federally-Facilitated Health Exchange].
2 State-Based Health Exchange. Amend RSA 420-N:7, II to read as follows:
II. State agencies [or] and departments may plan for, participate in, contract with any private entity regarding, and interact with the federal government with respect to, the creation of a [federally-facilitated] health benefit exchange for New Hampshire.
3 Repeal. RSA 420-N:7, I, relative to state-based health exchange, is repealed.
4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
