HOUSE BILL 1190
AN ACT relative to approval of budget transfers in Hillsborough county.

This bill provides that approval of the Hillsborough county executive committee for budget transfers requested by a Hillsborough county department is required when the request exceeds an amount approved by the executive committee.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fourteen
AN ACT relative to approval of budget transfers in Hillsborough county.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
51:1 County Conventions; Hillsborough; Transfer of Funds. Amend RSA 24:13-c, VI to read as follows:
VI. Any request to transfer funds must be made in writing by a department head to the county commissioners who[, if they] may approve such requests for transfers up to such amount as the executive committee may from time to time approve by majority vote. If the amount of the department’s request exceeds such amount, and the county commissioners approve [same] the request, the commissioners shall report in writing their recommendation to the executive committee. The executive committee by majority vote may approve such transfer of funds in whole or in part.
51:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
