STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Fifteen

AN ACT designating the mastodon as the official state fossil.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; State Emblems; State Fossil. Amend RSA 3 by inserting after section 27 the following new section:

3:28 State Fossil. The giant mastodon, Mammut americanum, is hereby designated as the official state fossil of New Hampshire.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
