STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen
AN ACT\trequiring school districts to permit placement of a memorial honoring those who have died during military service.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
\t1 New Section; School Boards; Placement of Memorials. Amend RSA 189 by inserting after section 18 the following new section:
\t189:18-a Memorials on School Property. Each school district shall permit the placement of a memorial in a suitable location at a district high school in honor of an alumnus of a school in the district who died during military service, provided that the cost for design, manufacture, installation, or maintenance of the memorial shall not be a charge to the state or any municipality. In this section, "school property" shall have the same meaning as in RSA 193-D:1, V.
\t2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
