\tThis bill requires the commissioner of the department of resources and economic development to make an annual report on federal landholdings within the state.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT\trequiring a report on federal landholdings within the state and relative to the membership of the New Hampshire geographic information system committee.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

\t162:1  New Section; Report on Federal Landholdings.  Amend RSA 121 by inserting after section 6 the following new section:

\t121:6-a  Report on Federal Landholdings.  The commissioner of the department of resources and economic development shall annually prepare and file a report on the current inventory of federal landholdings within the state and calculate what percentage of New Hampshire land is held by the federal government in accordance with RSA 121:6.  Such report shall be filed with the speaker of the house of representatives, the president of the senate, the house clerk, the senate clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before July 1.

\t162:2  Initial Report.  The commissioner of the department of resources and economic development shall make the first report required in RSA 121:6-a within 30 days of the effective date of this section.

\t162:3  Repeal.  RSA 4-F:1, II(e), relative to membership of the New Hampshire geographic information system committee, is repealed.

\t162:4  Contingency.  If HB 377 of the 2016 regular legislative session becomes law, section 3 of this act shall take effect at 12:01 a.m. on the effective date of HB 377.  If HB 377 does not become law, section 3 of this act shall not take effect.

\t162:5  Effective Date.  

\t\tI.  Section 3 of this act shall take effect as provided in section 4 of this act.

\t\tII.  The remainder of this act shall take effect upon its passage.
