STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen
AN ACT\trelative to the content of patriotic exercises in public schools.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
\t1 School Boards; Patriotic Exercises. Amend RSA 189:18 to read as follows:
\t189:18 Patriotic Exercises. In all public schools of the state one session, or a portion thereof, during the weeks in which Memorial Day and Veterans Day fall, shall be devoted to exercises of a patriotic nature, which shall include a discussion of the words and meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance and the Star Spangled Banner.
\t2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
