STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen
AN ACT\trelative to temporary workers.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
\t1 New Subdivision; Temporary Work. Amend RSA 275 by inserting after section 75 the following new subdivision:
Temporary Work
\t275:76 Temporary Work.
\t\tI. In this subdivision, "temporary worker" means a worker who is hired by an employer from a staffing agency or as an individual for a temporary work assignment due to employee absences, temporary skill shortages, seasonal workloads, or special assignments or projects, without the benefits afforded permanent employees of the employer, with or without the expectation of permanent employment.
\t\tII. Every employer who employs a full-time temporary worker shall offer permanent work status to such worker after the worker satisfactorily completes 6 months of service, provided the need for such work is ongoing.
\t2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
