STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT\trelative to enforcement of the prohibition on the use of mobile electronic devices while driving.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

\t1  New Paragraph; Use of Mobile Electronic Devices While Driving.  Amend RSA 265:79-c by inserting after paragraph IV the following new paragraph:

\t\tV.  Enforcement of this section by law enforcement agencies shall be accomplished only as a secondary action when a driver of a motor vehicle has been cited or charged with a violation or some other offense.

\t2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2017.
