STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT\tadopting the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure as law.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

\t1  Court Rules; Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.  Amend RSA 491:10 to read as follows:

\t491:10  Rules.

\t\tI.  The Federal Rules of Civil Procedure are hereby adopted by reference as law.  The Federal Rules of Civil Procedure as adopted under this section shall supersede any other provision of law which may conflict with the rules and shall supersede any conflicting rules adopted by the supreme court, the superior court, and other state courts.

\t\tII.  The court, acting as a body, may from time to time establish rules and orders of practice, consistent with the laws, for conducting and regulating its business, and may prescribe forms of proceedings in all cases not provided for.

\t2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2017.
