AN ACT relative to the responsibility of a municipality to enforce its ordinances.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill requires any municipality that adopts a bylaw or ordinance pertaining to off highway recreational vehicles to enforce such ordinance.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen

 

AN ACT relative to the responsibility of a municipality to enforce its ordinances.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Paragraph; Off Highway Vehicles; Regulations of Political Subdivisions.  Amend RSA 215-A:15 by inserting after paragraph I the following new paragraph:

I-a.(a)  Any municipality that enacts an ordinance or bylaw under paragraph I relating to this chapter shall be responsible for the enforcement of such ordinance or bylaw.

(b)  Any person who is guilty of a violation of an ordinance or bylaw under subparagraph (a) shall be subject to all other provisions of this chapter.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
