AN ACT relative to a code of ethics for certified educational personnel.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen

 

AN ACT relative to a code of ethics for certified educational personnel.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Subparagraph; Department of Education; Rulemaking.  Amend RSA 21-N:9, II by inserting after subparagraph (bb) the following new subparagraph:

(cc)  The establishment and enforcement of a code of ethics for certified educational personnel for which rules shall be adopted no later than July 1, 2018, and which shall include, but not be limited to:

(1)  Responsibility to the education profession and educational professionals.

(2)  Responsibility to students.

(3)  Responsibility to the school community.

(4) Responsible and ethical use of technology as it relates to students, schools, and other educational professionals.

2  New Subparagraph; Duties of the State Board of Education.  Amend RSA 186:11, X by inserting after subparagraph (d) the following new subparagraph:

(e)  Establishment and enforcement of a code of ethics for certified educational personnel as provided in RSA 21-N:9, II(cc).

3  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
