AN ACT requiring propane companies to file notice with the register of deeds of underground propane tanks.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill requires any propane dealer who installs an underground propane tank to record in the registry of deeds for the county in which the property is located a notice indicating the size and location of the tank.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen

 

AN ACT requiring propane companies to file notice with the register of deeds of underground propane tanks.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Subdivision; Propane Tanks.  Amend RSA 339-B by inserting after section 16 the following new subdivision:

Propane Tanks

339-B:17  Installation of Underground Propane Tank.  Any propane dealer who installs an underground propane tank on a parcel of property shall record a notice indicating the size and location of the tank in the registry of deeds for the county in which the property is located.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2018.
