AN ACT relative to claims against judges.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill allows a plaintiff to attach a judge's paycheck, if the judge is found liable for injury or wrongful conduct to the plaintiff and owes the plaintiff monetary compensation.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen

 

AN ACT relative to claims against judges.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Abuse of Office; Claims Against Judges.  Amend RSA 643 by inserting after section 2 the following new section:

643:3  Claims Against Judges.  A plaintiff may attach the paycheck of a judge if the judge is found liable for injury or wrongful conduct to the plaintiff and owes the plaintiff monetary compensation.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2018.
