ANALYSIS

 

This bill repeals the authority of election officials to vouch for the identity of voters or to accept any photo identification they determine to be legitimate.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen

 

AN ACT relative to voter identification requirements when obtaining a ballot.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Repeal.  The following are repealed:

I.  RSA 659:13, II(a)(7), relative to photo identification determined to be legitimate by an election official.

II.  RSA 659:13, II(b), relative to verification of a person's identity by an election official.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
