STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen
AN ACT relative to involuntary administration of medication to inmates with mental illnesses.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Subparagraph; Department of Corrections; Powers and Duties of Commissioner. Amend RSA 21-H:8, III by inserting after subparagraph (f) the following new subparagraph:
(g) A policy and procedure for the involuntary administration of medication and treatment to inmates with a diagnosed mental illness.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
