STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen
AN ACT establishing the painted turtle as the state reptile.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; State Reptile; Painted Turtle. Amend RSA 3 by inserting after section 28 the following new section:
3:29 State Reptile. The painted turtle, Chrysemys picta, is hereby designated as the official state reptile of New Hampshire.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
