STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen

 

AN ACT relative to the hiring of state troopers for drug interdiction work, and making an appropriation therefor.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Appropriation; Department of Safety; State Troopers for Drug Interdiction.  The sum of $2,100,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018 and the sum of $1,365,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019 are hereby appropriated to the department of safety for the purpose of hiring 15 additional state troopers who shall be assigned exclusively to perform drug interdiction work.  The appropriation made in this section shall not lapse until July 1, 2019.  The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sums out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2017.
