AN ACT relative to participation in public school cocurricular programs offered in another school district.

This bill requires the school district in which the pupil resides to grant a pupil's request to participate in a cocurricular program in another school district if such program is not offered in the school district in which the pupil resides.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Seventeen
AN ACT relative to participation in public school cocurricular programs offered in another school district.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Pupils; Participation in a Cocurricular Program in Another School District. Amend RSA 193 by inserting after section 1-c the following new section:
193:1-d Participation in a Cocurricular Program Offered in Another School District. The school district in which the pupil resides shall grant the request of a pupil or a pupil's parent or legal guardian to participate in a cocurricular program offered in another school district, regardless of application deadlines, provided such program is not offered in, and there is no cost to, the school district in which the pupil resides. In this section, "cocurricular" shall have the same meaning as in RSA 193:1-c.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
