STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

 

AN ACT requiring bonding for clerks of court.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Officials and Employees Bonds; Bonds of Court Employees.  Amend RSA 93-B:1-a to read as follows:

93-B:1-a  Bonds of Court Employees.  

I.  All court employees shall be bonded by the state under this chapter.  In addition to the losses against which employees are indemnified under RSA 93-B:1, all court employees shall be indemnified for any errors and omissions committed in their capacities as court employees.

II.  All clerks of court shall be individually bonded for not less than $500,000.  

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
