STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

 

AN ACT establishing an executive order registry.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Office of the Governor; Executive Order Registry.  Amend RSA 4 by inserting after section 47 the following new section:

4:48  Executive Order Registry.  The office of the governor shall post all executive orders issued by the governor on the governor's website in what shall be known as the executive order registry.  The office shall post the orders to the executive order registry within 72 hours of issuance by the governor.  Upon the governor's departure from office, the executive order registry shall be transferred to the secretary of state, division of archives and records management and shall continue to be available to the public on the state website.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
