ANALYSIS
This bill requires that motor vehicle accident reports be sent to parties to an accident and, in certain cases, a copy kept on file at the police station making the report.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen
AN ACT relative to the availability of vehicle accident reports.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Accident Reports. Amend RSA 264:25 by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:
IV. A copy of the report filed by law enforcement under paragraph I shall be sent by the filing law enforcement agency to the parties involved in the accident at the same time it is filed with the department of safety. If there is no contact information available for any party to the accident, the police department making the report shall keep a copy of such report on file for 90 days.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
