AN ACT relative to state house Internet service and relative to calendars and journals of the house and senate.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill requires a secure wireless Internet service in the state house for members of the general court. The bill also requires that calendars and journals of house and senate proceedings be made available to the public  by an email subscription service.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

 

AN ACT relative to state house Internet service and relative to calendars and journals of the house and senate.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Legislative Proceedings.  Amend RSA 14 by inserting after section 7 the following new section:

14:7-a  Calendars and Journals of House and Senate Proceedings.  The house of representatives and the senate shall make the calendars and journals of proceedings in electronic format available to the public through a subscription email service.

2  New Section; Members of the General Court; Internet in the State House.  Amend RSA 14-A by inserting after section 6 the following new section:

14-A:7  Members Entitled to Secure Wireless Internet.  The members of the house of representatives and the senate, while in attendance at any session or proceeding in the state house, shall be provided with access to secure wireless Internet.

3  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
