STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

 

AN ACT relative to salary ratios for employers and employees.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Protective Legislation; Salary Ratio.  Amend RSA 275 by inserting after section 43-c the following new section:

275:43-d  Salary Ratio.  No employer incorporated in this state shall pay its highest paid salaried employee more than 43 times the amount paid to its lowest paid salaried employee.  No employer incorporated in another state but doing business in this state shall pay its highest paid salaried employee in this state more than 34 times the amount paid to its lowest paid salaried employee in this state.  There shall be no maximum salary limit provided the ratio between lowest and highest paid employees is maintained.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
