STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

AN ACT repealing the repeal of the pollution prevention program of the department of environmental services.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

89:1  Purpose.  The general court finds that the pollution prevention program established in RSA 21-O:15 through RSA 21-O:21 has consistently demonstrated its value to the businesses and citizens of New Hampshire by encouraging enhanced voluntary compliance with environmental laws.  The general court further finds that the pollution prevention program has not provided opportunities for avoiding such compliance.  It thus is the intent of the general court that RSA 21-O:15 through RSA 21-O:21 no longer be subject to a prospective repeal.

89:2  Repeal.  1996, 8:9, I, relative to the repeal of the pollution prevention program, is repealed.

89:3  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

Approved: May 25, 2018

Effective Date: July 24, 2018
