STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

 

AN ACT relative to the transfer of digital copies of voter checklists to qualified political organizations and candidates.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Paragraph; Availability of Checklist.  Amend RSA 654:31 by inserting after paragraph IV the following new paragraph:

IV-a.  The secretary of state shall, upon request, provide to a political party, as defined in RSA 664:2, IV, a digital copy of the marked checklist used at the most recent election in every town, ward, and voting district in the state.  The secretary of state shall, upon request, provide to a candidate for county, state, or federal office a digital copy of the marked checklist used at the most recent election in every town, ward, and voting district in the state or in the candidate's district.  The secretary of state shall not charge a fee for digital copies provided under this paragraph.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
