METHODOLOGY:
This bill establishes liquor and wine labeling requirements that apply to domestic manufacturers in New Hampshire selling less than 15,000 9-liter-equivalent total cases annually within New Hampshire. Specifically, the bill creates legal definitions for the following terms:
The Liquor Commission states it has no method available to estimate the potential increase the new labeling requirements would have on sales. During FY 2016, out of $681 million of total Liquor Commission sales, $1.9 million (0.28 percent) represented product made by New Hampshire wineries and distilleries that would be effected by the new labeling requirements. The Liquor Commission indicates this bill will not result in any new state expenditures.
