STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen
AN ACT relative to the names of colleges in the community college system.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Community College System of New Hampshire; Names of Institutions. Amend RSA 188-F:13 to read as follows:
188-F:13 Names of the Colleges. The names of the respective colleges of the community college system of New Hampshire shall be [established, and may be changed, upon approval by the board of trustees and approval by the governor and council] as follows: Great Bay college, Lakes Region college, Manchester college, Nashua college, Concord college-New Hampshire's Technical Institute, River Valley college, and White Mountain college.
2 Pre-Engineering and Technology Advisory Council; Membership. Amend RSA 188-E:16, I(d) to read as follows:
(d) The president of [the New Hampshire technical institute] Concord college-New Hampshire's Technical Institute, or designee.
3 Advanced Manufacturing Education Advisory Council; Membership. Amend RSA 188-E:22, I(e) to read as follows:
(e) The president of [the New Hampshire technical institute] Concord college-New Hampshire's Technical Institute, or designee.
4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

SB 355-FN- FISCAL NOTE
AS INTRODUCED
AN ACT relative to the names of colleges in the community college system.

FISCAL IMPACT AND METHODOLOGY:
This bill changes the names of the seven colleges within the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH). This will require many changes that will require expenditures, including but not limited to, the replacement of existing products, such as signage, advertising, and supplies, and sustained marketing, re-branding, and public information effort implementing the name changes. Based on information provided by all seven colleges, costs to CCSNH to implement the name changes in this bill are estimated to total $954,000, of which $858,600 would be expended in FY 2019 and $95,400 expended in FY 2020.
