STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen

 

AN ACT establishing positions in the office of professional licensure and certification and making an appropriation therefor.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Office of Professional Licensure and Certification; New Classified Positions; Appropriation.

I.  The executive director of the office of professional licensure and certification is authorized to hire 3 license clerks, labor grade 11.

II.  The amount necessary to pay for the positions authorized in paragraph I, which shall be in addition to any sums appropriated in AU 01-21-21-212010-2405 for the division of technical professions, is hereby appropriated to the executive director of the office of professional licensure and certification.  The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for such sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2018.

METHODOLOGY:

This bill authorizes the Executive Director of the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification to hire 3 license clerks at labor grade 11 for the Division of Technical Professions (AU 01-21-21-212010-2405).  The Governor is authorized to draw a warrant for such sum out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.  The OPLC indicates the salary and benefits for each position are approximately $53,000 in FY 2019, $55,000 in FY 2020, $58,000 in FY 2021 and $61,000 in FY 2022.  The total salary and benefit cost for 3 clerks for each fiscal year are approximately $159,000 for FY 2019, $165,000 for FY 2020, $174,000 for FY 2021 and $183,000 for FY 2022.
