AMENDED ANALYSIS
This bill permits public education agencies to submit annual statistical reports to the department of education electronically.
This bill also deletes a requirement that paper printouts of pupil registers kept on a computer be retained.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eighteen
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Education; Annual Filing of Statistical Reports. Amend RSA 189:28, III to read as follows:
III. Each statistical report submitted under this section by a public education agency may be submitted electronically and shall include a written or electronic certification, signed by the chief executive official that states: "I certify, under the pains and penalties of perjury, that all of the information contained in this document is true, accurate, and complete, and that the school board chairperson has received a copy of this document.''
2 Retention of Pupil Registers. Amend RSA 189:27-b to read as follows:
189:27-b Retention of Pupil Registers. Pupil registers, whether kept manually or by means of a computer, shall be retained as a permanent record of the school district, public academy, or non-public school. [When a computer is used, the permanent record shall consist, at a minimum, of a paper printout.]
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
