STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen

 

AN ACT prohibiting smoking in state parks.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Expansion of State Park System; Smoking Prohibited.  Amend RSA 216-A by inserting after section 6-a the following new section:

216-A:6-b  Smoking Prohibited.  

I.  No person shall smoke tobacco or any other substance in, on, or within any state park property.  Any person who violates this section shall be guilty of a violation.  

II.  The director of the division of parks and recreation shall post appropriate signage as deemed necessary on state park property to advise the public of this prohibition.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
