STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen

 

AN ACT repealing the prohibition on texting while driving.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Repeal.  The following are repealed:

I.  RSA 259:98-a, X, relative to the definition of "serious traffic violation."

II.  RSA 265:105-a, relative to prohibited text messages and device usage while operating a motor vehicle.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
