ANALYSIS

 

This bill requires the teaching staff of a chartered public school to consist of a minimum of 75 percent of teachers licensed by the state of New Hampshire.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen

 

AN ACT relative to criteria for teachers in charter schools.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Chartered Public Schools; Employees.  Amend RSA 194-B:14, IV to read as follow:

IV.  The teaching staff of a chartered public school shall consist of a minimum of [50] 75 percent of teachers [either] licensed to teach in New Hampshire [certified or having at least 3 years of teaching experience].

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2020.
