1 New Paragraph; Actions Against Tenants; Writ of Summons; Address. Amend RSA 540:13 by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:
III-a. After service of the writ by the sheriff, the tenant shall provide the court with the address where the tenant is currently residing, and mailing address if different. A tenant who files a false address or who fails to maintain the address where the tenant is currently residing and mailing address, if different, shall be subject to the penalty for violation of a court order. This obligation shall continue until 180 days after the date of judgment under RSA 540:14, or until any money judgment against the tenant is paid in full, whichever is later.

III-a. In the event of a judgment for the plaintiff, either for possession or for a money judgment, the tenant shall provide the court with the address where the tenant is currently residing for a period of 180 days from the date of the judgment for possession or until any ordered monetary judgment is paid in full, whichever is later. The tenant shall provide a copy of such notice to the plaintiff. A tenant who fails to maintain a current address as required by this paragraph, or who provides a false address, shall be guilty of a violation of a court order.
3 New Section; Small Claims; Post-judgment Current Address. Amend RSA 503 by inserting after section 8 the following new section:
503:8-a Post-judgment Current Address. In the event of a judgment for the plaintiff, the defendant shall provide the court with the address where the defendant is currently residing until any ordered monetary judgment is paid in full. The defendant shall provide a copy of such notice to the plaintiff. A defendant who fails to maintain a current address as required by this section, or who provides a false address, shall be guilty of a violation of a court order.
4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
