STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen

 

AN ACT authorizing towns to utilize credit unions for town business.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Power and Duties of Towns; Definition of Bank.  Amend RSA 31:38-a, II to read as follows:

II.  "Bank" as used in this section means a savings bank, national bank or trust company in this state, any building and loan association or cooperative bank, incorporated and doing business under the laws of this state [or], any federal savings and loan association located and doing business in this state, or a credit union in this state.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
