METHODOLOGY:

This bill requires drivers’ license and non-driver identification cards to indicate whether or not the holder is a citizen of the United States of America.  The Department of Safety estimates this bill will impact FY 2020 expenditures by $21,700.  The estimated increase in expenses is due to the required modification to the Department’s card creation system and computer software (VISION).  The Department assumes this requirement will be implemented during the drivers’ license and non-drivers' identification card renewal process.
