STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen
AN ACT naming the Warner roundabout in memory of Barbara Annis.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
15:1 Findings. Barbara Annis served on the Warner Planning Board from 1990 until her passing in 2018 and she served as chairperson from 2003–2010. In 2017 Barbara received the citizen planner of the year award from the New Hampshire Planners Association. The completion of the Warner roundabout is largely due to Barbara’s perseverance and leadership. It is fitting that the town of Warner recognizes her long community service by naming the roundabout in her memory.
15:2 Warner Roundabout Named in Memory of Barbara Annis. Pursuant to RSA 4:43, the roundabout located on N.H. route 103 on the northside of the Interstate 89 exit 9 ramp in the town of Warner, is hereby named the Barbara Annis Roundabout in honor of Warner resident Barbara Annis. An appropriate marker shall be placed on the center island of the roundabout.
15:3 Signage. The cost of design, construction, maintenance, and installation of any signage, replacement signage, or other markers required under section 2 of this act shall not be a charge to the state. However, the design, construction, and installation of any signage or other markers required under this act shall be approved by the department of transportation.
15:4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
