HB 720-FN- FISCAL NOTE

AS INTRODUCED

AN ACT relative to part time employment of retired community college system faculty.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The New Hampshire Retirement System (NHRS) states this bill will have no impact on the retirement system.

The Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) was initially contacted on December 11, 2018 for a fiscal note worksheet, which they have not provided as of January 17, 2019.

METHODOLOGY:

This bill exempts a retired full-time faculty member of CCSNH from the requirement that no retired member shall be employed on a part-time basis, with any participating NHRS employer, for a period of 28 days following the effective retirement date.  This change will have no impact on the retirement system, however CCSNH has yet to provide information as to whether or not it anticipates a fiscal impact as a result of this bill.
