1 Hilton Park Boat Ramp and Dock Study.
I. The legislature finds that it is a public good to provide access to the Great Bay waters at Hilton Park in Dover for the purposes of fishing, aquaculture, recreational boating, and public safety.
II. The department of transportation and the fish and game department shall develop a plan, including cost analysis, for the purchase of needed property from the department of transportation by the fish and game department for the construction of a ramp, dock, and parking area. In developing this plan, the department of transportation and the fish and game department shall consult with the department of environmental services, the department of safety, division of homeland security and emergency management, the Dover police department, the Dover fire department, representatives of aquaculture operations in the Great Bay, the Great Bay waterkeeper, and other interested parties.
III. There shall be a public hearing at the commencement of this process and at the presentation of the final report, which shall be filed with the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate clerk, the house clerk, the governor, and the state library no later than November 1, 2019.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
