METHODOLOGY:

This bill increases the statutory additional grant amount for per pupil payments to public charter schools from $3,411 to $3,911, effective FY 2020.  Based on current enrollment estimates, this $500 per pupil increase would result in additional education trust fund expenditures of $2,046,500 in FY 2020 and $2,158,500 in FY 2021.  Enrollment estimates beyond FY 2021 have not been provided, therefore this bill’s impact in FY 2022 and each year thereafter is indeterminable.
