STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen
AN ACT relative to stabilization grants for education.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Determination of Education Grants; Stabilization Grants. RSA 198:41, IV is repealed and reenacted to read as follows:
IV.(a) For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, the department of education shall identify all municipalities in which the total education grant will be less than the total education grant for fiscal year ending June 30, 2019. The department shall distribute a stabilization grant to each of those municipalities equal to 100 percent of the decrease.
(b) For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021, and each fiscal year thereafter, the department of education shall distribute a total education grant to each municipality in an amount equal to the total education grant for the fiscal year in which the grant is calculated plus the amount of the stabilization grant for fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, if any, distributed to the municipality.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
