ANALYSIS

 

This bill prohibits a condominium unit owners' association from contracting with a business for property management, maintenance, or improvements where a unit owner is the owner or director of the business.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

 

AN ACT relative to contract powers of condominium unit owners' associations.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Paragraph; Condominiums; Powers of Unit Owners' Assication.  Amend RSA 356-B:42 by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:

IV.  Notwithstanding the powers granted in paragraph I, the unit owners' association shall not contract for property management, maintenance, or improvements with a business where a unit owner is the owner or director of the business.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
