STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

 

AN ACT relative to the membership of the state board of education.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  State Board of Education; Members.  Amend RSA 21-N:10, I to read as follows:

I.  There is hereby established the state board of education consisting of [7] 9 members, 2 of whom shall be students enrolled in a public school, who shall serve without pay and shall not be technical educators or professionally engaged in school work.  The members shall be paid for actual expenses incurred in the performance of their duties out of moneys appropriated for the department of education.  The 2 students shall be non-voting members.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
