STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Landlord and Tenant; Required Notice. Amend RSA 540-A:3, V-a to read as follows:
V-a. No landlord shall:
(a) Fail to provide notice to a prospective tenant of the use within 90 days of any pesticides or other toxins used to kill insects, bedbugs, rodents, or any other living organisms in the tenant's rented or leased premises.
(b) Willfully fail to investigate a tenant's report of an infestation of insects, including bed bugs, or rodents in the tenant's rented or leased premises, within 7 days of receiving notice of such alleged infestation from the tenant or a municipal health or housing code authority, or fail to take reasonable measures to remediate an infestation.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
