STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

 

AN ACT directing the legislative budget assistant to conduct a financial audit of the secretary of state's office.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Financial Audit of the Department of State.

I.  In addition to any other audit requirements, the audit division of the legislative budget assistant under RSA 14:31-a shall complete a financial audit of the department of state and the office of the secretary of state.  The audit shall include an assessment of department's revenues, expenditures, compliance and controls since the completion of the last audit in 2007.  

II.  The legislative budget assistant shall complete the audit and resulting report not later than 9 months after the effective date of this section and shall submit the report to the governor, the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate president, and the fiscal committee of the general court.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
