STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty
AN ACT relative to equipment required for vehicle inspections.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Equipment Not Required. Amend RSA 266 by inserting after section 4 the following new section:
266:4-a Equipment Not Required. Any equipment of a vehicle that is not mandated by this chapter shall not be required to be in working order for purposes of passing an inspection required by RSA 266:1. This section shall apply to aftermarket equipment that is installed by persons other than the manufacturer as well as optional equipment installed by the manufacturer that is not mandated by this chapter.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
