STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

 

AN ACT requiring colleges and universities to establish a memorandum of understanding governing issues related to sexual assault.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Higher Education Commission; Sexual Assault Reporting Policy.  Amend RSA 21-N:8-a, II(e)(10) to read as follows:

(10)  Require all institutions of higher education over which the commission has regulatory authority to establish a memorandum of understanding or other similar agreement between the institution’s campus security or police department and the local law enforcement agency having jurisdiction over the area where the campus is located for the purpose of providing a safe and healthy environment for area residents, students, employees, and visitors in matters related to RSA 632-A.

(11)  Assume other responsibilities as may be provided in state or federal law. 2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2021.
